NOTE: The fasteners provided are intended for use on a pump-action shotgun. Installing this optic mount with the supplied receiver mount screws onto a semi-auto shotgun may cause damage to the barrel. Recommend professional gunsmith installation.

**Be aware that this is made for Remington factory holes, NOT the Vang Comp hole pattern for our Rear Sight with Rail (VC-103). We’re working on a drop-in solution for folks with our VC-103 currently, but this VC-143 is not it.

Vang Comp Systems has been installing red dot optics on shotguns for over 20 years.
We have seen the trends of “co-witness” and “Quick Detach” cycle in and out of fashion. Both have their merits.
Red dot optics have come a long way in the last 20 years and now they are widely considered to be as durable, if not more so, than iron sights.
Red dot sights are no longer the future, they are the now.
This new combination Rear Sight with direct optic mount attaches to the shotgun using the drilled and tapped holes provided by the factory.
It eliminates the height of both the Picatinny rail on the receiver and the optic’s Picatinny mount. The lower overall mounting height keeps the optic closer to the barrel (height-over-bore) providing for a lower-profile install and a more natural cheek weld when sighting.
Most of the people who have sighted shotguns with this optic mount installed do not require cheek risers to achieve a natural point of aim.
The proven Wing Protected rear sight design has been a staple on Vang Comp builds ever since we grew tired of waiting on a certain Italian sight manufacturer to import sights at the pace we needed. So we made our improvements and changes and had them made in the USA.
The click-adjustable rear sight offers gradual, repeatable, 1/4MOA per click adjustments for both windage and elevation.
