About Hans J. Vang

After leaving the navy in 1974, Hans J. Vang embarked on what was to become his lifelong career as a gunsmith. His intense training began at the Colorado School of Trades; and after a year and a half, he graduated with a degree in gunsmithing. Having achieved his goal of becoming a certified gunsmith, Hans started to work on his own. However, after a little over a year, he decided to further hone his skills in gunsmithing.In order to gain valuable skills and experience, Hans went to work for J.J. Jenkins. Working there for three and a half years, he restored collectible firearms. This experience not only gave him the knowledge, but also gave him the necessary self confidence to start out on his own.

Now some 20 years later, Hans has created his Vang CompSystem. With three U.S. patents on his system, he now teaches the world the meaning of a high performance shotgun. He currently works with several state and federal agencies who are interested in adopting his tactical shotgun system. Knowledge of his work is now world wide. He has sold his barrels across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans to agencies in Australia, Germany, Ireland, England and Sweden.
